THE WILLIAM C. TELFER
MEMORIAL TROPHY

for

ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PARTICIPATION

 

1. A trophy for annual presentation and a cash award from the festival to the elementary school with the highest participation.

2. A cash award from the festival to the elementary school with second highest participation.

This trophy was first presented in the 1981 Festival.
Competition for this trophy and a cash award is open to all elementary schools with either individual or group entries in the school section of The Kiwanis Music Festival of London.

THE HARRIET KELLY PLAQUE

for

SECONDARY SCHOOL PARTICIPATION

 

1. A plaque for annual presentation and a cash award from the Harriet Kelly Award for the secondary school with the highest participation.

2. A cash award to the secondary school with second highest participation.

3. A cash award to the secondary school with the third highest participation.

This plaque was first presented in the 1987 Festival.

Competition for this plaque and cash award is open to all secondary schools with either individual or group entries in the school section of The Kiwanis Music Festival of London.

Eligibility

Students must be enrolled as active participants in the school music programs, excluding private music students.

A group of 5 or fewer is considered a single entry, but groups of 6 or more participants will be marked as indicated under "groups" below. The trophy will be presented to the school receiving the greatest number of points per capita according to the formula listed below.

In order to make this award equally available to schools of all sizes, the total points on the above basis for all participants from a particular school, divided by the official number of students in the school, will be the number which determines the school's standing in this competition. Schools wishing to compete for these trophies must submit their claims for points in detail to:
